School of Medicine: M1s: Introduction to Medicine

This guide contains content suitable for study and review for first-year medical students.

Off-Campus Access to Resources

When seeking to use content from the Digital Library from home or elsewhere

Some scenarios exist which automatically give you instant access to Digital Library content from off campus for four hours at a time:

  • Logging into Blackboard or another Meharry application first (such as Workday)
  • Logging into a Meharry-issued laptop (faculty) or a computer checked out from the library (students)

Otherwise, to be authenticated as a Meharrian, users can click on any resource button on the righthand side of the page to be prompted to log in with Meharry credentials. After the four-hour authentication window is up, users will be prompted to sign in again when clicking on the "Off-Campus Login" button or a resource button.
